
In a village which can't be found on Google Maps, educators and administrators of the Kadam Pura Community Center have accepted a mission to find participants (16 to 29 years old) whom showed academic vigor but were pulled out of school for reasons out of their control.





The opportunity is a paid 12 month residential vocational training course with guaranteed job after completion at Barefoot College.




The 4-wheel drive bolero takes us into the remote desert to find Asha. A young girl who scored amung the highest grades in her classes and was voted as a leader by her peers in school. Immidiately after graduating grade school she was married and forced to live away with her husband's family.
There, they were unkind to her and she fled back home.
Before speaking anything to Asha, we received blessings from her father.




Father is humouring the idea and Asha finally steps up to speak for herself. Because she is still legally married, she cannot make any decisions without the consent of her husband. She also negotiates that she will only enroll in the vocational training if she is alowed to bring her daughter.
